Certified handlers in control of class 6 substances [Regulations 4.1 and 13.9, Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017]
Conditions: The certification of handlers (class 6) does not include agrichemicals, fumigants and vertebrate toxic agents.

Classes 5.1.1 or 5.1.2
Locations where classes 5.1.1 or 5.1.2 substances are present [Regulation 12.17, Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017]
Conditions: The certification of locations where 5.1.1 substances are present is limited to bulk storage or use up to a maximum aggregate capacity of 6,000 kg or L.
The certification of locations where class 5.1.2 substances are present is limited to storage and use up to a maximum aggregate quantity of 5,000 kg (non-permanent gases) or 3,000 cubic meters (permanent gases).
The certification of locations where class 5.1.2 substances are present is limited to storage and use up to a maximum aggregate quantity of 5,000 kg (non-permanent gases) or 3,000 cubic meters (permanent gases).
Classes 2.1.1, 2.1.2 or 3.1
Locations where classes 2.1.1, 2.1.2 or 3.1 substances are present [Regulation 10.34, Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017]
Conditions: The certification of locations where class 2.1.1 substances are present is authorised for:
i. packages (cylinders) to a maximum aggregate quantity of 5,000 kg (liquefied gases) or 5,000 cubic meters (permanent gases);
ii. storage in stationary container systems to a maximum quantity of 6,000 L.
The certification of locations where class 2.1.2 substances are present is authorised for 50,000 L aggregate water capacity of flammable aerosols.
The certification of locations where class 3.1 substances are present is authorised for:
i. storage in closed packages in one or more cabinets;
ii. storage of packages in a separate building or external storage area to a maximum aggregate quantity of 60,000 L;
iii. storage in closed packages with a maximum aggregate quantity of 2,000 L in a store in a building;
iv. bulk storage at vehicle refuelling facilities up to a maximum aggregate quantity of 120,000 L;
v. storage of class 3.1 substances in previously certified stationary container systems up to a maximum aggregate quantity of 15,000 L;
vi. use up to a maximum aggregate quantity of 7,500 L;
vii. paint mixing rooms that are compliant with AS/NZS4114.

ii. storage in stationary container systems to a maximum quantity of 6,000 L.
The certification of locations where class 2.1.2 substances are present is authorised for 50,000 L aggregate water capacity of flammable aerosols.
The certification of locations where class 3.1 substances are present is authorised for:
i. storage in closed packages in one or more cabinets;
ii. storage of packages in a separate building or external storage area to a maximum aggregate quantity of 60,000 L;
iii. storage in closed packages with a maximum aggregate quantity of 2,000 L in a store in a building;
iv. bulk storage at vehicle refuelling facilities up to a maximum aggregate quantity of 120,000 L;
v. storage of class 3.1 substances in previously certified stationary container systems up to a maximum aggregate quantity of 15,000 L;
vi. use up to a maximum aggregate quantity of 7,500 L;
vii. paint mixing rooms that are compliant with AS/NZS4114.
Class 5.2
Locations where class 5.2 substances are present [Regulation 12.42, Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017]
Conditions: The certification of locations where class 5.2 substances are present is limited to organic peroxides in packages only up to a maximum aggregate quantity of 2,000 kg or L.
Conditions that apply for this authorisation
- Mr Meikle must perform the functions of a compliance certifier in an objective manner that promotes safety.
- Mr Meikle must remain a fit and proper person throughout the period of this authorisation.
