QEC Limited has been authorised as a compliance certifier under regulation 6.8(3) of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017. A condition of this authorisation requires that QEC Limited maintain accreditation to AS/NZS ISO/IEC 17020 for the scope of accreditation issued by International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ).
Effective 10 July 2024, QEC Limited have requested that IANZ place their accreditation into voluntary suspension. IANZ accepted that request and so QEC Limited cannot currently issue compliance certificates.

Conditions that apply for this authorisation
The following conditions apply to QEC Limited and, where appropriate, every person employed or engaged by QEC Limited to perform the functions of a compliance certifier:- QEC Limited, and each individual employed or engaged by QEC Limited to perform the functions of a compliance certifier, must perform the functions of a compliance certifier in an objective manner that promotes safety.
- QEC Limited may only employ or engage Mrs Leigh-Anne Peake and Miss Jessica-Luisa Brueck to perform the functions of a compliance certifier.
- QEC Limited, each officer of QEC Limited and any persons employed or engaged to perform the functions of a compliance certifier must remain fit and proper throughout the term of the authorisation.
- QEC Limited must maintain accreditation to AS/NZS ISO/IEC 17020 for the scope of accreditation specified in the Schedule to Certificate of Accreditation issued by International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ), issue 1, dated 15 August 2023.
- Mrs Leigh-Anne Peake, named as a signatory in the Schedule to Certificate of Accreditation issued by IANZ, issue 1, dated 15 August 2023, must maintain that signatory status for her specific scope of accreditation specified in that Schedule.
- Miss Jessica-Luisa Brueck, named as a signatory in the Schedule to Certificate of Accreditation issued by IANZ, issue 1, dated 15 August 2023, must maintain that signatory status for her specific scope of accreditation specified in that Schedule.
- QEC Limited must advise WorkSafe of any change to the scope of accreditation issued by IANZ, issue 1, dated 15 August 2023.
